Colorado Heritage Camp

The mission of Colorado Heritage Camps, Inc. is to provide educational, cultural and family related experiences, which support the healthy development of families formed by adoption with children from diverse heritages.  Through shared experiences, each Heritage Camp provides children and families with a sense of community and individual identity. 
 

By giving adopted children a connection to their cultural roots, CHC gives children a better understanding of themselves and a greater sense of self-respect and "wholeness" as they grow into healthy, productive members of society.  In addition, CHC helps families gain an awareness and appreciation of their child's cultural background, thus developing stronger family relationships through mutual understanding and shared values.  A final objective of the camps is to assist children and families in building ongoing networks that will support their needs as adoptive families throughout the year.
